04/21/2008 The Great Black Hope

We're having our doubts about this new crew of black politicians that suddenly are regarded as the future leaders of this country. The liberal media is pushing them as some sort of bridge between whites and blacks. We don't need a bridge. We need honest answers as to why after 50 years of racial preference, whites are regarded by black leaders as somehow still owing the black race some sort of payment for their perceived suffering. Enough is enough! These new guys are no better than the Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons who shouted racism at every opportunity, usually to line their own pockets. The difference is, the new guys want it all. They want to take control of the government from the top down and that's when they'll really tie on the feedbag. Let's take them in order:

Harold Ford - Former House member from Tennessee who ran for the Senate and lost. A real, true hog-at-the-trough liberal. The darling of the Washington cocktail circuit, and about to marry a very rich white heiress. This one has NEVER answered a question with a straight answer. His liberal politics are evidenced by the usual far off dreamy look of the loon along with a general shiftyness in his personality. Now he's got himself stashed in Merrill Lynch shmoozing with the upper crust elites until he can run again. He was a regular on Imus In the Morning, but when Imus got in hot water, Ford deserted him cold, just like many other phony liberal politicians and commentators.

Deval Patrick - Another liberal from out of nowhere who won the Massachusetts Governorship while the Republicans were napping after Romney decided to decamp. This guy is ready to do some serious damage to the state. He's desperately searching for a new venue to stash political hacks who are temporarily out of a job at the state house. The Turnpike Authority is drawing too much attention these days. His first priority, though, was a Caddy and new drapes. Then he tried to get casinos legalized (for the children). Stopped dead! Now he's signed a book deal, which should occupy him for the rest of the term (proof reading the ghost writer's work). At least he won't be doing any damage to the state while he's occupied with making money.

Barack Obama - This is one phony son of a bitch! How is he qualified to be President? A hack from Chicago in his first term in the Senate. He's a huckster! His rhetoric full of promises of a new America is worthy of an artful dodger. You know the drill: hope, a new dawn, the savior of the working man, etc. In other words, he does not present a qualified solution to anything. The only sure thing he'll do is evacuate Iraq! What then? Oh, and he said he'd double the taxes on capital gains. Does he think only the rich are hurt by that? What an empty suit! But, you say, it's just not fair. They're picking on him. It's not Barack who said those thing; it was"'The Reverend" Wright, his mentor and close friend. As if he didn't sit there and agree with every lambasting of America to leave "The Reverend's" lips. The remarks are so racist and unpatriotic, it is amazing that his cronies are trying to say that the remarks were taken out of context. If a white preacher spewed this type of hatred toward blacks, what do you suppose would be the result? But the same Barack Obama who called for Imus' firing stands by this racist bigot! And, by the way, wasn't it fortunate that they had a camera rolling in San Francisco when Barack said all those things about us sad middle American losers who cling to religion out of angst. a ten point loss in PA was the result. As much as I detest the Clintons, there is something at work here that bodes ill for the future of this country. When you combine a black candidate with the liberal media and the fear of being called a racist or bigot if you speak out against a black candidate (or black anything), it obviates any hint of fairness and equality for the other candidates. Just ask Geraldine Ferrarro.

03/21/2006 Clueless

It's time to admit that George Bush and his Republican congress are a huge disappointment. Oh, don't get all in a dither! I'm not saying we should have elected Gore or (gulp) Kerry. But, those of us who support fiscal conservatism and sanity in border security are questioning the direction GW is taking on these issues.

The federal deficit is out of sight and spending has hit record levels. This on a Republican watch! The President and both sides of Congress are responsible. It's gotten so bad that Bill Frist had to put forward legislation to curb all the spending caused by earmarks (pork). Remember when Republicans were known as penny pinchers? There is no longer much of a difference between the politicians in the two parties. They are equally inept. No Child Left Behind and the Medicare prescription plan are budget breakers that were better left to individual states to deal with. How in the Hell did a Republican president sponsor these legislative initiatives?

The southern border is hemorrhaging illegals. Two state governors have had to send the National Guard to the border and declared states of emergency. Both parties want the Hispanic vote so badly, they'll sell out this country to get it! Why are we allowing such idiotic rhetoric as "temporary guest workers" and "undocumented migrants" to pass the lips of our elected officials? Why are we allowing states to give licenses and ID cards to illegals. Why are illegals able to drive uninsured motor vehicles, get free medical treatment, scam fake ID cards, and walk away untouched from all charges because the feeling is "if the feds don't care, why should we?". Why are we allowing our courts, governments, and schools to be forced into providing multilingual facilities? What the hell is going on?

It is also time to admit that George Bush is a major screwup when it comes to waging war. Where is the leadership we saw briefly after 9-11? They are all treating this like there is no concern that we are still in Iraq three years and 2,300 bodies later with no real plan to end this war! Goddamn it, we supported the war and still support our troops, but we don't have to support idiotic leadership in government!

01/04/2006 To Be From Massachusetts

When anyone learns that you are from Massachusetts, you always brace yourself for the look of disdain you receive from them. You know they are thinking: “This idiot voted for Kerry and Kennedy and one of the gaggle of liberals Massachusetts sends to the House every two years". It’s as if you need a sign that reads: I didn’t vote for them!! Please, please, believe me!

Ted Kennedy is the poster boy of our shame. The coward of Chappaquiddick, who should have been thrown in the slammer for what he did to Mary Jo Kopechne, has lived a rich and full life full of debauchery. Now he sits as the guardian of all things liberal and shouts down judicial appointees who might actually be content to interpret constitutional law instead of legislate from the bench.

It is unfathomable that this state perennially elects Republican governors, but votes overwhelmingly Democratic in all other political contests. We watch our state senators and reps vote themselves huge pay raises, ignore referenda, and openly appoint each other and their family members to high paying state jobs. They levy every tax imaginable upon us. When they’ve raised taxes high enough to invoke the wrath of the taxpayers, they turn to raising fines, fees, and permits. We still re-elect them over and over and over again.

They built a federal courthouse on prime waterfront property. The Mass Pike was finally bond-free, so they issued another huge bond to keep that haven of patronage in existence. They built a multi-billion dollar road and tunnel complex through a city and then closed it down during the Democrat National Convention, causing massive traffic jams. I haven’t even touched on the antics of many who run some of the towns around the state! The Plymouth Selectmen are a good example: They piously tell us that they are unselfishly there to serve. But don’t even think about taking away their stipend and health coverage! Accusations of death threats, court battles over idiotic decisions, secret closed sessions; it's all there! It snows twice and they tell us they are out of money as the trucks are rolling over bare streets, sparks flying.

Why do the people of this state tolerate all of this? Some vote the way their mothers and fathers voted their whole lives. Some are college students who stayed on and still haven’t dropped the sheen of the freshly minted liberal stamped on them by their professors. Some are flat-out morons. Some are convinced that their ethnicity prevents them from voting any other way. Many are state workers and union members whose leadership is aligned with the Democrat Party.

But we go through the motions, knowing that there isn’t much of a chance that our candidates will be victorious or that our votes will affect the outcome of a presidential election. Massachusetts has a decreasing population of wage earning residents for good reason. They are fed up! Eventually there will be nobody left but public employees and welfare recipients. The liberals will have won.
